" Most Americans for Raising Minimum Wage"

This article talks about that most Americans agree for raising the minimum wage. According to news approximately 76% of Americans say they would vote for raising the minimum wage to $9 per hour. (the current minimum wage is $7.25 per hour) About 22% of Americans voted against.

Based on recent studies, "The federal minimum wage is currently not adjusted for inflation and its real, inflation-adjusted, value has varied significantly since the wage was established in 1938. Interestingly, even as the nominal rate of the minimum wage has increased by 2800% from its original value of 25 cents per hour, the real value of the wage has declined from its 1968 peak by 33%." 

Accoording to this article the Republicans are the least supportive of hiking the minimum wage to $9 per hour but not thethering it to inflation, with 58% saying they would vote in favor and 39% voting against it. Based on this studies it's conclusion is that 91% of Democrats are in favor as well as 76% of independents.
