Profile: Grey Goose co-creator and Jägermeister marketer Lee Einsidler ’78
Lee Einsidler '78 is a philanthropist and Chief Executive Officer of Sidney Frank Importing Company, Inc., the largest importer of sake in America, marketing masterminds behind the Jägermeister brand, and known for redefining the vodka category with Grey Goose vodka. He will address SUNYIT business students in December.

October 17: Administrative changes announced by SUNY Chancellor and SUNYIT President
Following Chancellor Zimpher’s announcement listed in the August ‘Alumni eNews,’ the Chancellor has officially appointed SUNYIT President Wolf Yeigh as Officer-in-Charge of SUNY Morrisville.

SUNYIT President Wolf Yeigh issued a memo stating: “As Morrisville State College and SUNYIT continue to explore their respective roles in our shared services alliance, I am pleased to share with you the announcement of an important next step in this process.”

September 1: SUNYIT’s new Provost officially begins work
Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. William Durgin, whose selection for this position was announced in March 2011, began work at SUNYIT on September 1.

Engineering Technology: Reaccreditation for engineering technology programs
The Technology Accreditation Commission (TAC) of ABET, Inc., formerly the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, has formally notified SUNYIT that its programs in the engineering technologies have been reaccredited.

SUNYIT’s new online option is for students pursuing a master of science degree in nursing education, with applications for admission now being accepted for the spring 2012 semester.

Men’s senior Robert Doss (Chittenango, N.Y. / Chittenango) placed third overall at NEAC Championship, while women’s senior Bridget McMahon (Avoca, N.Y. / Avoca Central) placed 16th overall.

Women’s Soccer: NEAC Quarterfinal: Women's Soccer Team Eliminated by Penn St.-Harrisburg
The season ended on November 1 with a loss to Penn St-Harrisburg in the first round of the NEAC Tournament, 1-0.

Men’s Soccer: SUNYIT Takes Regular Season Championship After 1-1 Tie in Keuka
The team (7-5-4, 7-0-3 NEAC) tied for the third game in a row on October 29, 1-1 at Keuka. SUNYIT had already wrapped up the regular season championship with a 7-0-3 NEAC record before the game, and will host the conference tournament this weekend.
