Gamers Club to Host FragFest 2011 Nov. 18-20
The SUNYIT Gamers Club has announced plans for "FragFest," a computer gaming event in which participants square off in a Local Area Network (LAN) environment set up in the Student Center’s multipurpose room on the SUNYIT campus. The November 18-20 event, which is open to the public, is one of the largest of its kind in the region and hosts both competitive and non-competitive gaming.
Prizes will be awarded to top competitors in popular computer games such as "Team Fortress 2," "StarCraft 2," and "League of Legends." In addition, prizes will be awarded in a "Super Street Fighter 4 AE" tournament on the Xbox 360 for participants who enjoy console gaming or choose not to bring their computers. In addition, there will be numerous role playing game campaigns, a "Magic: The Gathering" draft, a computer smash, and raffles for prizes.
FragFest 2011 will begin on Friday, November 18 at 6 p.m., and will continue until noon on Sunday, November 20. Admission is $25 at the door, $15 for advance registration. More information is available at http://gamers.sunyit.edu.
