Traffic Regulations

Regulations
- Laws in Effect -
New York State Vehicle & Traffic Law and the State University
of New York traffic ordinances are in effect on University property.
- Speed -
Speed on campus property is 25 m.p.h. unless otherwise posted.
Speed is checked by radar and is strictly enforced.
- Accidents -
Motor vehicle accidents on University property must be reported
to the SUNYIT University Police Office, phone
number 792-7105. On-campus 111
- Parking
on Roadways - There is no parking at any time on campus
roadways.
- Motorcycles -
Motorcycles may not be driven on sidewalks nor may they be parked
close to buildings.

Remember:
- 1.Vehicle and traffic law regulations are in effect at all times.
- Buckle
up - it's the law.
- Stop DWI - friends don't let friends drive
drunk.
- Report all suspicious persons or vehicles seen around
parking areas to public safety.
- Keep your vehicle locked with
the windows rolled up.
- Always keep a spare set of keys inside
your wallet or purse, not inside your vehicle where a thief can
find them.
- All stereo equipment should be mounted out of sight
and should be engraved with your "operation ID" number.
- Parking
permits must be permanently and entirely affixed with their own
adhesive to the driver's side window on any vehicle parked in
our lots. Taping and other temporary adhesion is not permitted.
