As psychologists, our goal is to discover why people think, feel, and act as they do, and to use the knowledge we gain for human betterment. At SUNYIT, we find our quest to be intellectually exciting, socially important, and personally rewarding. We believe that earning a degree in psychology can be a life changing experience.

The Field
Psychology is the scientific study of individual and group behavior. The psychology program stresses theoretical understanding of the principles of psychology, as well as practical applications to the solution of human problems.

Undergraduate Programs
The program in psychology leads to a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree.

Placement
Graduates in psychology find employment in the areas of mental health, human services, social work, mental retardation, counseling, personnel administration, and business. They also go on to graduate study in psychology or allied fields.
