Launching in fall 2012, SUNYIT’s bachelor of science in civil engineering program will prepare students for careers in engineering and allied fields. The program consists of liberal arts, math, science and engineering coursework, along with studies in structural, environmental and transportation engineering.
The program will be accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET), the accrediting organization for applied science, computing, engineering, and engineering technology programs. It will be eligible for accreditation after the first class of civil engineering majors graduates.
