Civil Engineering
Concentrations
Students may choose between three areas of concentration: structural engineering, transportation engineering, and environmental engineering.
Each of these offers a unique focus:
- Structural: design of structures (buildings, bridges, dams, towers) and structural components (aircraft wings, submarine hulls)
- Transportation: design and operation of transportation facilities (roads, railroads, airports, ports)
- Environmental: design of facilities to treat water, wastewater and hazardous materials
