Each individual room is equipped with its own telephone hookup allowing residential students their own telephone line. Bedroom telephone jacks will be activated and a telephone number will be issued upon student request. There is no activation fee, however, students must provide their own telephones. Your assigned phone remains the same as long as you reside on campus. The top white jack in your room has dial tone and is programmed for the personal phone number assigned to you. SUNYIT does not provide telephones; you must bring your own. Voice mail is included with your telephone services at no additional charge. Local calls from the residence halls are free. Long distance is available by pre-paying at the Bursars Office or by using your personal phone card.
To activate you individual telephone line, submit a request into the "RT Tracker System" or call the ITS Telecommunications Office at 792-7155.
