During the spring semester, residents have the opportunity to participate in room selection process for the following academic year. By participating in room selection, residents can choose their own rooms and roommate/suitemate(s). Information about room selection will be posted in residence halls.

Limits on Room Selection

There are some limits to how rooms can be selected.

• An empty suite cannot be opened with less than 3 students unless there is no other option.
• A double cannot be opened with less than 2 students unless there is no other option.
• Students invited in may lose their space if the person who invited them decides to cancel his / her contract.
• Students need to make a conscious decision when choosing a room. If you squat your room or choose any location, you will not be permitted to choose another room later in the process. You must wait until the completion of the entire room selection process.
• You must have at least 3 students to squat.
• Standard double rooms will likely be tripled. Please consider who your third roommate will be or one will be assigned to you.
