On-Line Students
Registering for On-Line Courses
Registration for
on-line courses offered through SUNYIT is the same process used to register for on-campus courses, except that you must obtain a SLN (SUNY Learning Network) or ANGEL account to access your class.
If you have never taken an on-line course at SUNYIT
- Register for the class with our campus Registrar; call (315) 792-7262.
- Get an account on the SLN website (http://sln.suny.edu) or ANGEL website (http://angel.sunyit.edu).
- Select the class link and add it to your SLN account. This step is usually done when the account is set up providing the class link has been posted on the SLN website.
- Go to http://online.sunyit.edu to activate your SITNET ID.
If you are a returning SUNYIT student
- Follow the registration instructions for Current
Students to register for your class.
- If you have not taken courses for the past three consecutive semesters (excluding summer), call the Registrar's Office at (315) 792-7262 to register.
- Go to http://online.sunyit.edu to activate your SITNET ID.
In order to register for courses offered online, but NOT by SUNYIT, you must register with the college offering the course.
For more information about SLN, CourseSpace, and CourseSpace Light, visit: http://online.sunyit.edu
Withdrawing from On-Line Courses
Students withdrawing from on-line courses must withdraw through the Registrar's
Office, NOT the SUNY Learning Network or ANGEL account.
Students taking an online course must also inform their instructor of their withdrawal. Failure to do so may result in an "F" grade for the course.
Important Note
Adding/removing class links from your online account changes your access to the class, not your registration in the class.
