Health Services ManagementThe health services management program at SUNYIT successfully combines management studies of two major areas: business and health services. This combination prepares students to manage a wide variety of programs and facilities in the health field. Courses in the program expose students to the many aspects of health care and its delivery. Such topics as public health, health law, health services marketing, long-term care, and health care reimbursement are thoroughly examined, giving students the backgrounds they'll need to enter the health care field. SUNYIT offers a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree that is structured for students with Associate in Science (A.S.) or Associate in Arts (A.A.) degrees. As with all programs at SUNYIT, the degree requirements for health services management include a strong base in liberal arts. This provides students with tools and knowledge to relate their experiences to their work and to life in general. It helps create a more diverse, complete education that continues to grow after graduation. |
