SUNYIT and Binghamton University have forged a partnership combining faculty talent and laboratory resources to meet the engineering education needs of the Mohawk Valley. Through this jointly registered EE program, SUNYIT and BU provide four-year and transfer students the opportunity to study electrical engineering in the Mohawk Valley at SUNYIT. This program, supported by faculty from both SUNYIT and BU, gives undergraduate students the opportunity to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from BU without leaving the SUNYIT campus. The BSEE is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). The mission of the department is to educate the students at the undergraduate level in electrical engineering, to advance the technical state of knowledge through basic and applied research, and to provide service to the profession, the Institute, and the public.
