Civil Engineering Technology
The B.S. degree in Civil Engineering Technology was introduced for Fall 1994 in response to demand from employers throughout New York State. Civil Engineering Technology graduates can expect to find positions in transportation, construction, materials testing and environmental areas with agencies such as DOT, NYSDOT and NYCDOT as well as with architectural, civil engineering and construction companies.

Letters of support forthe program were received from the following employers: Stetson-Harza, NYSDOT (Utica), William H. Lane, Inc., C.T. Male Associates, P.C., Soil & Material Testing, Inc., NYSDOT (Watertown), D.F. Wheeler Engineers, P.C., NYSDOT (Binghamton), AWM-Arthur. Merritt, AIA, Herbert F. Darling, Inc., Clarence Materials Corp., Huntsman Design Products Corp., Clough, Harbour and Associates, and Northern Builders Exchange, Inc. In addition, NYS Civil Service and NYSDOT will accept graduates of TAC/ABET accredited baccalaureate Civil Engineering Technology programs as eligible for junior engineering positions in NYSDOT.
