FAQs


What is the difference between an MBA and an MS?
The MBA degree is a more general degree than an MS degree. The MS requires extensive prerequisite coursework while the MBA does not.


Is the GMAT exam score required?
Yes, a GMAT score is required of all students. In some cases we will/can substitute the GRE score for the GMAT.


When is the admission deadline for the MBA program?
Admission decisions are made on a rolling basis. The application deadlines are: June 1 for the fall semester and December 1 for the spring semester.


How many credit hours can be transferred in from another university?
You can transfer 12 credit hours from another graduate school. We do not grant credit for work experience or undergraduate course work.


Is financial assistance or aid available?
Tuition scholarships, residential scholarships, loans, employer payment plans, and graduate assistantships are all available. Tuition scholarships, residential scholarships, and graduate assistantships require you to be a full-time student in residency. For assistantships, call us at (315) 792-7429. How much will it cost to get my MBA?
Currently, tuition is $3,550 per semester (full-time) for in-state or $296 per credit hour (part-time), and $5,670 for out-of state per semester (full-time) or $473 per credit hour (part-time).


Are courses available online?
Yes, all courses are available online for students living further than 50 miles from campus.


Is there a residency requirement for online students?
Yes, all students must undergo an on-campus residency requirement prior to graduation from the program. The residency requirement will be part of the TIM 685 capstone experience, and will require students to come to campus for one weekend for testing, seminars, oral interview, and group presentations.


How long will it take to complete the MBA program?
Two years of full-time study is usually required. Part-time students taking two courses at a time will normally finish in four years.
