Sandra Lockwood

In addition to her role on the SUNYIT College Council, Sandra Lockwood is president of the New York State School Boards Association for 2003, past-president of the Rome City School District Board of Education, and past-president of the Madison-Oneida BOCES Board.
Mrs. Lockwood is also past-president of the Oneida-Madison-Herkimer Counties School Boards Association, and the New York State Association for Small City School Districts.
Mrs. Lockwood has represented the Tri-County Association, Rome City Schools, and Madison-Oneida BOCES as a member of the State Association's Legislative Network. She represents Oneida County as a member of the National School Boards Association's Federal Relations Network.
In recognition of her service, Mrs. Lockwood received the Distinguished Service Award from the Oneida-Madison-Herkimer Counties School Boards Association, and the New York State Council of School Superintendents. She also received the Distinguished Service Award from SUNYIT. She was selected the City of Rome's "Woman of the Year" for 2001.
Mrs. Lockwood earned an associate's degree in business from Mohawk Valley Community College and attended Utica College.
