President
Jonathan I. Lawrence began his tenure as president and CEO of Little Falls Hospital in 2005. Since that time, Little Falls Hospital has become the newest affiliate in the Bassett Healthcare system and was named by the Commissioner of the New York State Department of Health as the recipient of a $2.07 million grant.
As a member of the Bassett administration, he is actively involved in the development, support, and achievement of system-wide operational, performance improvement, and quality initiatives. Prior to assuming his current role, he served as both vice president of operations and as the skilled nursing administrator at Schuyler Hospital in Montour Falls, N.Y. In addition to his leadership positions in hospital and long term care organizations, his professional responsibilities have included health plan administration, inpatient and outpatient mental health services, and regional hospice administration.
Appointed to the College Council in 2006, he is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and serves on the executive committee of the Herkimer HealthNet rural health network. He holds a master’s degree in healthcare administration and a bachelor’s degree in health management and policy from the University of New Hampshire.
