Welcome to SUNY Institute of Technology!

Since you are a new member of the campus community, you may be unaware of certain requirements that must be fulfilled in order to stay in classes and to register for additional semesters of study. Listed below are requirements that must be fulfilled.

Measles, Mumps, Rubella (NYS Public Health Law #2165)

Proof of immunity (via immunizations or positive blood titers) is required by law if you are registered for SIX OR MORE CREDITS. If this information is not received 30 days from the start of the semester, you will be deregistered (dropped) from all of your classes. This requirement applies to all students born after Jan. 1, 1957.

Electronic Medical Insurance Waiver

Full-time students (12 OR MORE CREDITS) are required to have health insurance coverage while enrolled at the college. If you already have health insurance coverage, you can get this fee waived by entering your insurance information on the college's web site each semester. The web waiver must be completed or the student will be billed for the insurance plus a $30 late fee. (Click here for instructions).

Physical Exam Requirement

Full-time students (12 OR MORE CREDITS), a physical examination must be submitted to the Health Center prior to Advanced Registration. Part time students who would like to receive routine health care must submit a physical examination.

For questions on any the Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Medical Insurance Waiver or Physical Exam, call or email the Health Center.
