High-speed, broadband, and DSL internet connections are recommended. Hardwired connections are recommended when taking assessments (exams, quizzes, tests).
Wireless and dial-up connections are not as reliable and may be problematic when taking assessments online.
Dial-up connections are not recommended for fully online courses.

Adobe Acrobat Reader, an editor like Window's WordPad or Notepad, or Macintosh's TextEdit.
