We are part of Sigma Theta Tau International, the Iota Delta Chapter 218. Being a member of STTI entitles you to connection/opportunities beyond what current students initially have. Being spread across continents over the world, STTI is really the only honor society currently available in Nursing.

Sigma Theta Tau International

Sigma Theta Tau International, the Honor Society of Nursing, was founded in 1922 by six student nurses at the Indiana University Training School for Nurses. Today, the Society is the second largest professional nursing organization in the world with over 360,000 nurse scholars as members. Of the 360,000 nurse scholars, 48% are clinicians in diverse roles and specialties, 21% are administrators or supervisors, and 20% are educators or researchers. The headquarters of the organization, the Center for Nursing Scholarship, is located in Indianapolis, Indiana. In addition to the administrative offices, the Center houses a unique electronic library called the Virginia Henderson Library. At the international, regional and chapter level, this dynamic organization promotes the development and dissemination of nursing knowledge, facilitates the development of nurse leaders and influences healthcare worldwide.
