Chapter Leaders

I have been on the faculty for 30 years and I am currently the Vice Chair of Nursing at SUNY Iinstitute of Technology.  As a Family Nurse Practitioner I have practiced in large medical centers, small public health facilities and at the health center on the campus. I am one of the charter members of the Iota Delta Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau. 

 

Our local chapter provides nurses with up to date information on many pertinent issues of concern to all nurses.  Being a member of Sigma theta Tau has offered me the opportunity to meet with many knowledgeable  professional nurses in this area and in many parts of the world.  The society affords one the ability to interact with other nurses with similar interests and to share knowledge and to work on projects of similar interests.  Our chapter also provides members with assistance in both research and educational areas.

 

Being invited to join Sigma theta Tau was an honor at the time I received it and continues to be an important way for me to  express my love of nursing  Being a faculty counselor allows me to assist future nurse leaders in their endeavors to become professional nurses and to move the profession of nursing to a higher level of knowledge and caring.
