I was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International in 1983 and am proud to be a member because it is the honor society of nursing. When I joined the SUNYIT School of Nursing faculty in 2007 I transferred my membership to the Iota Delta chapter where I have served as Counselor and Board member since 2007. Being an active member of Iota Delta has allowed me to meet and stay professionally connected with other Sigma Theta Tau members. Serving as an Iota Delta Counselor is an honor because I get to welcome new members at our annual induction ceremony, a privilege because it reminds me that nursing’s future has never looked brighter!
