SUNYIT's nursing & health professions department offers a bachelor of science degree in nursing and health information management and a master of science degree in adult nurse practitioner, family nurse practitioner, gerontological nurse practitioner, nursing administration and nursing education. The nursing & health professions department also offers advanced certificates in adult and family nurse practitioner and nursing administration.
Nursing & health professions department continues to be in the forefront of nursing practice, nursing education, and health information as it plays a leadership role in central New York and in the SUNY Nursing Outreach Program in eastern New York. Our nursing programs are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE, 1 Dupont Circle NW, Washington, DC, 202-887-6791) and the health information program by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM). Programs are registered by the New York State Education Department.
