2012 event:
Desktop Publishing Competition for Middle & High School Students
- Middle school Division: Grades 5-8
- High school Division: Grades 9-12
Objectives:
Design a logo to promote Energy Awareness, Types of Energy or Climate Change.
Rules
Theme: Energy awareness, types, or Climate Change
Specifications: The logo designed to fit a 3” x 5” rectangular window sticker. The logo may be color or black and white, either portrait or landscape orientation.
Submittals: Printed double Size on White Paper and mounted. Division winners must submit an electronic copy after the competition (high-resolution jpeg, bitmap or an eps file)
Note: The entries will be taped to a wall or board for display and judging. Please mount them as lighty as possible.
All submissions must include:
A statement of authenticity signed by your technology teacher
Student name, grade, teacher's name, & school must be typed or written neatly and affixed to back of printed submission
All entries must be submitted by 3:00PM.
Judging will be based upon:
- Concept and relation to theme
- Composition and layout
- Readability
- Unique/Remarkable
- Relevant to customer
- Memorable
