Photocopy & Media Equipment
The library provides photocopiers and microform reading and printing equipment. Other equipment includes: two VHS videotape machines, two typewriters, a cassette/film projector, five audio cassette recorder/players, and a print enlarger. All library equipment must be used within the library. For other media equipment (A-V equipment, overhead projectors, portable computers, etc.), contact Instructional Resources at (315) 792-7180.
Equipment in the Cayan Library that is available for use includes photocopiers and microfilm reader/printers. The charge per copy is 10 cents. Other equipment that is available at no charge are a VHS/DVD player monitor, an audio cassette player/recorder and a print enlarger reader. All library equipment must be used within the library. More audio-visual equipment is available for loan through the Instructional Resources office (x7180).
The Library has two microform reader/printers, which produce copies at a cost of $.10/page. The machines do not accept cash, and patrons are asked to pay for their copies at the Circulation Desk.
The library provides 2 non-color photocopiers for library users.
How much do photocopies cost?
Photocopies cost $.10/page. Both photocopiers accept one and five dollar bills and change.
How can I get help or request a refund?
Help making copies is available from library staff. The library is not responsible for money lost when using the photocopiers because the machines are owned and maintained by the College Association. Please report any problems to library staff and address complaints and requests for refunds to Scott Gorgas, College Association, C104, x7341.
Can I use the photocopiers to make transparencies?
Yes. Please bring transparency sheets with you because the library does not sell them. The Bookstore does. Please note: Do not use thermofax sheets; they melt inside the photocopier.

- If you need assistance ask a library staff member.
- Machines and equipment cannot be moved from their original location.
- All machines and equipment are available on a first come/first serve basis.
- Please be considerate of others.
- Library staff members have the discretion to set limits on the amount of time a machine can be used.
- Ask a library staff member to correct problems, like clearing paper jams and adding toner.
