Donations
The Library of the SUNY Institute of Technology at Utica/Rome welcomes
donations of books, periodicals and subscriptions relevant to the
mission of the Institute.
Those wishing a valuation of their donation for income tax purposes
should indicate so when donating materials.
The library reserves the right to determine what material will be
added to the collection and make alternate arrangements for material
inappropriate for this collection.
Acceptable Donations:
1. Current, scholarly books, recent textbooks, and periodicals or subscriptions; all must be directly and demonstrably relevant to the
mission of the SUNY Institute of Technology at Utica/Rome
2. Rare and valuable books
Unacceptable Donations:
1. Books greater than three years old that do not qualify as
Acceptable Donations
2. Material in poor physical condition, e.g., mildewed, dirty,
torn bindings, missing pages, excessively written in, etc.
3. Books marked "inspection copy," "examination copy" or "not for
resale"
How to Donate
Small Donations:
Any small donation, that which can be carried in by one person,
may be dropped off at the library. Please leave a name and address if a
letter of acknowledgement is desired.
Larger Donations or Questions:
Please contact the Gifts and Exchange Librarian by phone, e-mail
or letter with information about the donation you wish to make.
