SYMPA
The Sympa is our mailing list manager (listserv) and is accessible at http://list.sunyit.edu. SITNet ID holders are automatically registered on Sympa and use their SITNet ID to login.
Faculty and staff can create and manage lists, students can not. A shared web space for the list can also be created to store files and bookmarks that subscribers need to access.
Additional list owners, who can be students, can be established to help manage the list and update subscribers. For example, a club advisor can create a club list and grant list admin permissions to a student club officer.
People who do not have a SITNet ID must register their e-mail address on Sympa to obtain a password. They can then login with their e-mail address and assigned Sympa password.
