Introduction
The Sympa Mailing List Manager, known as Sympa, is the e-mail listserv available at the college and is located at http://list.sunyit.edu. It is used to create mailings lists for groups, committees, clubs and so forth. Only SUNYIT employees given permission to create lists. All others can subscribe to and unsubscribe from lists.
Sympa lists can have a shared web space to store materials needed by the list subscribers. Lists can also be set up as private for subscribers only, public for everyone, digests, moderated lists and so forth.
Sympa requires a registered username and password to login. SUNYIT members are automatically registered on Sympa with their SITNet ID. People who do not have a SitNet ID need to register their e-mail address to get a password to login.
