Login Problems
Refer to the table of common problems and their resolutions.
| Mistyped your password | Try again typing more carefully. |
| The CAPS LOCK key is ON | Unset the CAPS LOCK and try again. |
| SITNet ID has not been "activated" | Activate SITNet ID: Student / Faculty. |
| Forgot SITNet username | Look up SITNet username |
| Password problems | Change your password using the SITNet Password Reset. Your SITNet ID MUST BE activated before you can use this tool. |
| Password is longer than 6 places | Enter only the first 6 characters of your password |
| Password not accepted | Password was recently changed in Banner and will take effect in an hour. Use your old password until then. |

ANGEL Error message: |
- You have not activated your SITNet ID. Activate SITNet ID: Student / Faculty. - You mistyped your username or your password. - The CAPS LOCK key may be ON. - Your password is too long. Try again using the first 6 places. - Reset your SITNet password to correct most problems. (Your SITNet ID MUST BE activated before you can do this) - The Banner password change has not taken effect yet. Use your old password until the new one takes effect (1 hour). - You forgot your username. Look up SITNet username - Check to make sure the SITNet ID authenication system is not down by logging in to http://helpdesk.sunyit.edu. |
