SITNet IDs

Employee SITNet IDs are created an hour the Human Resources department enters their information into Banner. The default PIN (Banner password) is the date of birth in the MMDDYY format. 

SITNet ID activation instructions

New employees should contact one of the User Services staff below if assistance is needed activating the SITNet ID.

Locked SITNet IDs
Banner will always be accessible even when the SITNet ID is locked. Faculty and staff SITNet IDs are locked automatically without notice for the following reasons:

  • adjunct professor has not taught at SUNYIT for 3 consecutive semesters.
  • employment contract ends
  • violation of college policy, state or federal law relating to computers, data.
  •  

    Turnitin Accounts

    SUNYIT is licensed for the Turnitin.com plagarism prevention software. Instructor Turnitin accounts will be created by Request Tracker request.  An email message from Turnitin will be sent to your SUNYIT email aaccount when the account is created. 

    Support and help using Turnitin are available from the Learning Center. Training videos and quick start guides are also available on the Turnitin.com.
