Employee SITNet ID Account Activation

  1. Click the following link:  http://banner.sunyit.edu


  2. Click OK in response to the warning about viewing pages over a secure connection. Note that depending on how your browsers is configured you may not get this message.


  3. Click Enter Secure Area


  4. Enter your campus ID or Social Security Number without the dashes for the User Id.
    Enter your date of birth in the format MMDDYY for the PIN.
    Click Login.


  5. Complete the password change form:
    The old PIN is the number you just entered login.
    Create a new password (PIN) that is
    • 6 - 8 characters in length
    • contains at least 2 letters, capitalize one of them to make your password more secure,
    • contains at least 2 numbers, and
    • does NOT contain spaces or colons (:)
    Re-enter the new password.
    Click Login


  6. Create a security question and answer pair for your computer account. In the future, you must correctly answer your security question to change your password, reset a forgotten password and lookup your SITNet username.
    Click Submit.


  7. Click Continue to accept the Terms of Usage.


  8. Click Continue twice more to read and accept the Statement of Responsibility.

Your SITNet username will appear in boldface on the next page.

SITNet IDs are processed hourly at the top of the hour.
