ResNet Connections - PC Recommendations
The minimum system requirements for SUNYIT's Residential Halls are posted in the requirement section of the ResNet Connection policy manual. Because some students choose to purchase new computers for school we have constructed a new PC recommendation site to aid students and parents in choosing a new PC.SUNYIT purchases Dell computer systems for the vast majority of its facility and staff offices, however students are free to purchase any brand computer they wish.
We do strongly recommend the purchase of Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional with any new system as it is better designed and more stable on our Residential Network than the Home Edition.
