Computer Labs
Labs Available to All Students
The following labs are open to all students on a first-come, first-served basis.
Student lab: G161 Donovan Hall
This lab is open building hours and is a general purpose lab that all SUNYIT students can use. Except for new student orientation programs, the lab is not scheduled for events or classes. Color printing is available in this lab.
Technical support is provided by the ILR Lab Support department. Report problems and requests for printer supplies via SUNYIT's online ticketing system, or contact the ITS Help Desk.
24x7 lab: B118 Kunsela Hall
This lab is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It contains computers from the Computer Science labs, the Macintosh lab, and IT Services supported labs.
All off-hours access to lab resources are provided by this lab and the Citrix servers.
The lab is jointly supported by the IT Services and Computer Science departments. Report problems and requests for printer supplies via SUNYIT's online ticketing system, or contact the ITS Help Desk
Cayan Libray
Computers available for all students are located on the ground floor of the library. There is also a computer lab on the second floor that is available for general use when it is not reserved for instruction. Reserved times are posted outside the lab entrance. Lab information and hours are available on the web. The lab is managed and supported by the library.
Learning Center Lab: Cayan Library
The Learning Center and its computers have been relocated to the ground floor in Cayan Library. The computers are primarily used for one-on-one tutoring, personal instruction and training, but are available for general use when not being used for the primary purposes. Many of the tutors are experienced with computing applications and can assist novice users with basic instruction for getting started.
The lab is managed by the Learning Center with technical support provided by ITS Lab Support.
Career Services Lab: B101 Kunsela Hall
This lab is part of the Career Services Resource Center, and is available to SUNYIT students for the preparation of resumes cover letters and career search related documentation. It is run independently from the other computer labs that support academic computing and may be open when the other labs are closed for maintenance. It contains PCs and a laser printer that is designed for printing on special media (colored or textured paper, envelopes, labels, etc.).
The Career Services office is open Monday – Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. For more information, call 792-7165.
