SUNYIT has over 30 computer labs that support academic programs at SUNYIT. Five are available to all students. The rest are focused or departmental labs that are only available to students enrolled in specific programs and courses.
Labs are open building hours during the semester and are generally closed during semester breaks. B118 Kunsela is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for access after normal building hours. This lab contains dual boot Macintosh computer systems. These systems run both Windows 7 and Mac OS X.
Most labs contain computers running Microsoft Windows XP, have high speed connections to the campus network and Internet, and connect to a lab file server for their applications and printing.
