International Student Services

At the beginning of each term, there are special orientation sessions for new international students conducted by the International Office. These sessions cover topics such as academic life, registration for classes, immigration regulations, community information aid and cross-cultural adjustment. Keep in mind that it is your responsibility to understand and follow the laws governing foreign students in the United States. The basic rules are covered in the Immigration section.

 

Fall Orientation: International students who have been admitted for the Fall 2012 semester are expected to arrive at the University no later than Sunday, August 19, 2012 to begin a week-long period of orientation and course registration. Some graduate programs may require students to arrive somewhat earlier than this date. Classes begin on Monday, August 20, 2012.
