International Student Services
About Us
The Office of International Student Services serves as the point of entry for new international students attending SUNYIT. Staff members provide advisement and assistance to help students meet the requirements of the United States Immigration Services. The college and student clubs and organizations offer students an opportunity to socialize with other newcomers to the country.
SUNYIT international students come from many countries including: Canada, People's Republic of China, Columbia, Cyprus, Egypt, Ethiopia, Greece, India, Indonesia, Jordan, South Korea, Kuwait, Lebanon, Malaysia, Nigeria, Northern Ireland, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, Venezuela and the former Yugoslavia.

Location: The ISS is located in Student Center.
Office Hours: The ISS is open Monday-Fridays from 8:30am to 5:00pm, except for holidays and during the summer. Summer hours are Monday-Thursday 8:00am to 4:00pm.

Appointments: Appointments may be made by telephone or in person. It is recommended that you discuss your needs with the office secretary first, as you may find that an appointment is not necessary for many functions. If an appointment with the director or the international student advisor is deemed necessary, one can usually be scheduled within three business days, except during vacation periods.

David Garrett is the Director of International Student Serivce. He is available to assist students in a wide variety of areas. You can contact him to arrange for airport pickup for orientation, to assists with the application process for Optional Practical Training (OPT), and everything in between. The Office of International Student Service is located in the Student Center. |

Erin Barrett is the International Admissions Advisor here at SUNYIT. Her responsibilities include application processing and issuing the I20. She is the first person to be contacted if you are interested in studying at SUNYIT. She will help you submit all of the required documents required to complete your application. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact her. You can even reach Ms. Barrett in absence of Mr. David Garrett to handle immigration or admission related questions.
