Application
Process for Undergraduate Admission
Note: This application process is for Undergraduate Admission Only. If you would like to apply to the MBA or MS programs, please scroll down to "Process for Graduate Admission".
SUNYIT accepts the SUNY Application or the Common Application.
Applicants may select either option for admissions consideration (but not both).
Please only complete one of the two applications.

SUNY Application (Option A)
Submit the following:
- The SUNY Application. The fee is $50.
- Official high school transcript(s)
- SAT or ACT scores (College Board School Code: 0755, ACT Code: 2953)
- SUNY Supplemental Application
- One letter of recommendation (or form allowing for individual comments) from a school based counselor or teacher.
- Official TOEFL or IELTS test score report
- FSA-4 Financial Form
- Bank statement (Click for more information on financial documentation and amounts required.)
- Transfer students only: Submit the Transfer Verification Form (pdf)

Common Application (Option B)
Submit the following:
- The Common Application. The fee is $50.
- Official high school transcript(s)
- SAT or ACT scores (College Board School Code: 0755, ACT Code: 2953)
- SUNYIT's Supplement to the Common Application
- One letter of recommendation (or form allowing for individual comments) from a school based counselor or teacher.
- Official TOEFL or IELTS test score report
- FSA-4 Financial Form
- Bank statement (Click for more information on financial documentation and amounts required.)
- Transfer students only: Submit the Transfer Verification Form (pdf)
Additional Requirements for Transfers
Transfer students can apply using either option. There is a $50 application fee for either application. If you submit the SUNY application you can waive your application fee if you are a New York State resident transferring directly from a two-year NYS public college (SUNY/CUNY) who will have earned an associate degree by the time of their planned entrance at SUNYIT.

Process for Graduate Admission

The SUNYIT Graduate Center offers students two different methods of application for graduate study: online application submission and paper application submission. Please choose your method and follow the steps below. |

Step 1: Select a graduate program

If you are unsure of program, please contact the Graduate Center at: gradcenter@sunyit.edu or (315) 792-7347 to talk with the coordinator about your program options. |

Step 2: Review the admission criteria and list of required materials for your progam
|
| Each graduate program requires specific supplemental materials. View this information along with the admissions criteria by program. Please note that the application deadline for fall admission is July 1. The spring deadline is November 1. Applications that arrive after these dates will be considered for admission for the following semester. |

Step 3: Choose your method of application

Step 4: Assemble and submit your supplemental materials
|
Depending on the program that you're applying to, you will need to submit one or more of the materials listed below. To familiarize yourself with program requirements, please visit the Graduate Admissions Requirements and click on the program you are interested in.
Submit all application materials to: SUNYIT Graduate Center, 100 Seymour Road, Utica, NY 13502.
Upon receipt of your application, the Graduate Center will notify you of the required supplemental materials for the program you have applied to. |
