Application


International students must submit the following information for their application to be reviewed:

  1. A completed admissions application.
  2. Foreign Student Financial Statement
    (SUNY FSA-4 and bank statement(s).
  3. Official transcripts from all colleges/universities attended. Transcripts must be officially translated into English.
  4. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) results. A minimum score of 550 (213 computer-based exam) is generally required. Students who have completed a college degree in the United States are not required to submit a TOEFL score.

Application Deadline

Fall 2008
Completed application must be received by May 15.

Upon acceptance to SUNYIT, an international student is issued an I-20 form. The student must take the I-20 form to his/her U.S. Embassy or Consulate to obtain an F-1 visa.

All international students at SUNYIT pay the out-of-state tuition rate. (Plus international student health insurance.)

Payment for the semester is due 10 days before classes begin for pre-registered students. Payment is due at the time of registration for students who register after the due date. Please be sure to have your funds available in US dollars prior to arriving on campus.

Financial Aid Cost of Attendance Information

International students are not eligible for financial aid, however, please go to Scholarships and Graduate Assistantships for more information about how you may qualify for a scholarship or assistantship.
