Our knowledge is increasingly specialized and fragmented, yet understanding an interrelated and globalized world requires developing an integrative perspective and fostering the capacity to perceive the interconnections among a multiplicity of different disciplines and fields of study. 

Interdisciplinary Studies is grounded in the realization that it is vital to think beyond traditional disciplinary boundaries in order to better understand the modern world, address complex problems, and create new opportunities.
