Admissions Requirements
MS Nursing Education
Admissions Criteria
All applicants to the MS Nursing Education program must possess a baccalaureate degree with a major in nursing from an NLNAC or CCNE accredited program with a minimum 3.0 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) for the last 30 hours of undergraduate or graduate level coursework.
Applicants must currently be licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State and must have completed a minimum of one year's work experience as a professional nurse.
Applicants must demonstrate successful completion of a course in descriptive statistics.
Application Checklist
To apply for admission to the MS Nursing Education program, please submit the following materials to the SUNYIT Graduate Center:
- Completed Application for Graduate Admission with a $60 application fee
- Official transcript(s) from colleges previously attended reflecting completion of a BS in nursing
- Two professional letters of reference (at least one of these must be an academic reference)
- Educational objective statement (typed)
- Resume
- Completed Application for Graduate Assistantship (optional)
