Admissions Requirements
MS Nursing Administration

Admissions Criteria
All applicants to the MS Nursing Administration program must possess a baccalaureate degree with a major in nursing from an NLNAC or CCNE accredited program with a minimum 3.0 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) for the last 30 hours of undergraduate or graduate level coursework.
Applicants must currently be licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State and must have completed a minimum of one year's work experience as a professional nurse.
Applicants must demonstrate successful completion of a course in descriptive statistics.
Application Checklist
To apply for admission to the MS Nursing Administration program, please submit the following materials to the SUNYIT Graduate Center:
- Completed Application for Graduate Admission with a $60 application fee
- Official transcript(s) from colleges previously attended showing completion of the BS in nursing
- Two letters of reference from professional nurses such as recent employers, faculty with whom the applicant has studied, or any individual who can give evidence of the applicant's past and potential contribution to the profession
- Educational objective outlining reasons for seeking admission to the master's program, identifying immediate and long-term professional goals, and relating intended contributions to the professional field after completion of the master's program.
