Accepted Students
Your Next Steps as an Accepted Student
Congratulations! Now that you’ve been accepted, use this page as a checklist to guide you through the enrollment process at SUNYIT.
If you are an international student, please refer to the International Admissions Accepted Student page.
1. Complete and Submit the Enrollment Confirmation Form
This yellow form was sent in your acceptance packet.
- Full-time students must return the form with a $50 tuition deposit.
- Part-time students must return the form only (no monetary deposit is required).
2. Apply for Financial Aid
If you have not already done so, it is important that you file your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) as soon as possible. Please visit the SUNYIT Financial Aid webpage www.sunyit.edu/financial_aid/graduate for an overview of the process.
3. Request On-Campus Housing Accommodations
If you plan to live on-campus, do the following:
- Check off the “I require campus housing” box on the Enrollment Confirmation Form and pay the housing deposit.
- Visit www.sunyit.edu/residential_life/forms to access the following materials: “Residence Hall License” & “Request for Accommodations” form.
- Return the signed form to the Residential Life & Housing Office.
4. Submit Final Transcripts
To formally matriculate you must submit final, official transcripts from colleges previously attended with your degrees posted on them. Your financial aid will not be released until these are received.
5. Comply with Mandatory Health Requirements
The Health & Wellness Center will be sending information regarding health requirements to students upon receipt of the Enrollment Confirmation Form. These forms must be completed and returned to the Health & Wellness Center prior to the start of the semester.
6. Register for Classes
All new graduate students will have the opportunity to participate in an Online or On-campus course selection/orientation session. Course registration will take place at the conclusion of the session that you participate in. Details regarding these options will be sent to new students beginning in May.
