Faculty/Staff Campaign 2011-12 FAQ
What if I am currently giving through payroll deduction?
If you currently have your faculty/ staff donation set up as continuous payroll deduction with an open end date, your name will be automatically entered into the drawings associated with your giving level. You do not need to turn in an additional form unless you would like to alter your giving amounts. If you are unsure of the amount you are giving, contact Mary Ann Peck at ext. 7273 or maryann.peck@sunyit.edu.
What are the promotions for the 2011-12 faculty/staff campaign?
1) If you donate $5 per pay period, or $130 a year, you will be entered into a contest to win one of three front row parking spaces in Lot C (in front of the Student Center) with the first drawing starting October 1, 2011. Each month a new winner will be drawn. For every $5 increment you donate, the higher your odds of winning (ex: $5 a month-1 chance, $10 a month-2 chances, $15 a month-3 chances, etc.)
2) Thanks to the generosity of the Athletics Department, we will be raffling off a membership to the new fitness center to one lucky winner. To have your name in the drawing, simply make a donation in the amount of $3 per pay period, or $78 per year, to the SUNYIT Fund by December 16, 2011. Membership will start January 2012 and continue until August 2012.
3) For donations of $2 per pay period or more, we can guarantee that you will find giving has sweet rewards.
How does the parking promotion work?
If your name is drawn, University Police will issue you a special permit that is valid for the month in which you win. A new parking permit will be issued for the new winner the following month. The prize is transferable.
How does the fitness center membership promotion work?
If you donate before December 16, 2011, your name will be entered for a chance to win the fitness center membership. Membership will start January 2, 2012 and will continue until the end of the fiscal year. If you have already purchased a membership, you can be reimbursed or transfer your additional membership to an immediate family member.
Do I have to donate by payroll to win?
No. You may opt to pay in a lump sum by either cash, check or credit card. If you wish to donate by payroll deduction download the Payroll Deduction Form (pdf) or stop by the Development Office located at Kunsela Hall 241.
The faculty/staff letter states donating to the SUNYIT Fund. Am I still eligible if I restrict my giving?
Yes. Your cumulative giving per month is what will determine which promotions you are eligible for.
