Freshmen -- Freshmen Application Information

Apply using the SUNY Viewbook application, which is available in your Guidance Office, or request an undergraduate application by calling 1-866-2-SUNYIT or email Admissions.

Applicants are considered complete upon receipt of an official high school transcript, and SAT or ACT scores. Once all information is received the application will be forwarded to the Admissions Committee for a decision.

Application Deadlines

Early Decision

To apply early decision, an online application must be submitted on or before November 1. A paper application must be postmarked by November 1. Applications must be complete by November 15. If your application is complete by November 15, we will notify you of our decision by December 15. If you are accepted Early Decision, you will be asked to make a tuition deposit by January 15 and to withdraw your application to all other colleges.

Regular/Traditional

We encourage you to apply for fall semester admissions by November 23. The recommended application deadline is February 15. However, applications received after that date will be considered on a rolling basis. Notification of admissions decisions will begin on December 16.

Those under consideration for merit scholarships will be notified and invited to submit a supplemental application.

EOP

EOP applicants are encourages to apply for the fall semester admission by November 23. All EOP applicants will re required to complete a supplemental application. The recommended deadline for EOP admissions is February 15. However, applications received after that date will be considered on a rolling basis. Notification of admissions decisions will begin December 16. To expedite the admissions process, you are encouraged to download and complete the Freshman Supplemental Application (pdf).

EOP applicants must also file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) along with the EOP Economic Eligibility Verification Form (pdf).
