What are the current expenses for tuition, room and board?
Tuition, room and board expenses are determined each year. To view details, go to the Tuition and Fees page.
Work-study jobs are available on campus. The pay rate is generally at the established minimum wage. Students should check with the Financial Aid Office regarding their eligibility for SUNYIT work-study funds.
Non-work-study jobs are also available through temporary service funding. Students should inquire about positions through the Human Resource office for a listing of employment opportunities on campus.
How much do books generally cost per semester?
Students should expect to spend approximately $350/semester for books and supplies.
How do I apply for financial aid?
To apply for financial aid, students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form.
The Financial Aid process begins after January 1 the year you are entering SUNYIT (January 1, 2010 for fall 2010).

Will SUNYIT bill me for tuition and fees? When is it due?
Yes, SUNYIT will mail you a bill for tuition and fees. The bill for the fall semester is typically due in mid-August; the bill for the spring semester is due in early January.

Will SUNYIT accept a credit card for payment?
Yes, you may pay with a credit card, personal check, or cash.

Tuition deposits are refundable until May 1 or 30 days after acceptance. Refund requests after May 1 must be made in writing to the director of admissions and will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
Request for housing deposit refund must also be made in writing to the Residential Life and Housing Office.
Note: Freshman Early Decision Deposits are not refundable.
