Campus Life
"Living here is great!" That's how one of our students describes our residence halls - and life on campus. Modern facilities (the oldest building, Kunsela Hall, was dedicated in 1985 and one wing of it underwent a major renovation in 2007) are located in the middle of 800 green, wooded acres. From athletics and intramurals to clubs and activities, there's a lot to do on campus.
Students have consistently given high marks to SUNYIT's residence halls, buildings and grounds and campus safety and security in SUNY-wide surveys. Living on campus means sharing a suite with up to three other students. Rooms are singles or doubles, and each suite has a shared living room and bath - as well as a microfridge unit and cable TV.
The residence halls have a unique personal card access system, and University Police keep the campus safe 24/7 through regular patrols, a network of security cameras and a system of emergency assistance call boxes.
