Give campus tours to prospective students and their families; give tours at the Fall and Spring Open Houses (these take place on Saturdays and are scheduled well in advance. It involves working only two Saturdays per year); mass mailings (zip coding, labeling, etc.), packaging and sending information to prospective students; answering telephones and taking messages; photocopying and filing; run general errands (pickups and deliveries to other campus offices); some typing and computer work; respond to email inquiries.
Should have strong interpersonal skills; typing ability and basic computer knowledge preferred, but not required; flexibility with regard to assigned tasks; promptness and dependability is very important.

Assist the staff members of the Alumni and Development Office as assigned in daily tasks pertaining to operations, which may include but is not limited to: (a) special events planning, promotions, and execution, (b) data entry and spreadsheet work, (c) social networking applications for Institutional Advancement, (d) secondary research using online and other sources. Student assistant may work on a variety of projects in a number of areas or may be assigned a certain area of concentration depending on office needs or the student employee’s skill, experience, or expertise. Other duties include assisting with mailings, note taking, photocopying, faxing, and other general office or meeting support.
Strong PC experience; positive outlook and can-do attitude; ability to learn new things. Must work will with people and be dependable, confidential, and professional. Ability to use Word, Excel, and Banner a plus.

To assist the athletic department in various jobs throughout the semester and provide you with work experience in a variety of athletic fields. The jobs will vary and may include: office assistant, intercollegiate game workers, set-up and break-down of events, laundry, supervise athletic facilities or fields and assist varsity coaches, Sports Information Director, Intramural Director and Athletic Trainers as needed.

Assist lab users with problems in the ITS managed labs. Troubleshoot prints and lab PCs. Ensure that all lab machines are functioning properly at all times. Other problems not able to be solved must be reported to the systems administrators. Advanced responsibilities available to those interested in gaining experience in systems/ network administration or web development. Knowledge of Windows, Linux or Macintosh preferred. Basic knowledge of computer hardware and peripherals required.

Delivery, setting up, testing, operation and picking up of classroom technology/audio-visual equipment in various campus buildings. Minor electro-mechanical troubleshooting and preventative maintenance of media/technology equipment. Updating scheduling and delivery records. Assisting users with the interconnection and operation of various types of classroom technology equipment including multimedia projection, notebook computers, sound reinforcement, videotape and DVD playback. Occasional office coverage to include answering phones, serving customers, taking equipment/service requests from faculty, staff, and students for classroom and off-campus of equipment.
Occasional assisting in the production of instructional media including camera operation. Using portable video camera and tripod to record presentations in classrooms and other locations. Setting up microphones, screens, projection and lighting equipment.Skills required: being able to work with little supervision and having good oral and written communication skills. Familiarity with computer hardware, peripheral devices, and computer software. Basic electrical and mechanical skills. Knowledge of video, audio, microphones, projection, and sound reinforcement equipment. Basic radio/TV production skills using video and still cameras.

Receives complaints from public concerning crimes, police emergencies, and calls for service; relays and records police and fire alarms, intradepartmental calls and emergency calls; broadcasts orders to police patrol units to investigate complaints or incidents and relays instructions and/or questions; prepares and maintains a variety of logs, records and reports of all incoming and outgoing communications; utilizes several computer systems to assist and maintain the safety of the college community. Monitors CCTV’s for suspicious activity; operates the College switchboard.
