Job Title: Office Assistant

Assist the athletic department in various jobs throughout the semester and provide you with work experience in a variety of athletic fields. The jobs will vary and may  include spotter for the pool, lifeguard (if certified), office assistant, intercollegiate game workers, set-up and break-down of events, laundry, supervise athletic facilities or fields and assist varsity coaches, Sports Information Director, Intramural Director and Athletic Trainers as needed.

Input data into an Access database; assist with mailings; typing; filing; photocopy and answer the telephone.   Must be able to work well with people, be dependable and neat in appearance and work.   Strong PC experience (computer science major not necessary) with ability to use Word, Excel and Access a plus.

Job Title: Health and Wellness Center/Counseling Center Assistant

Answer telephones and route calls to appropriate staff, filing of charts, prepare mailings, special projects, prepare bulletin boards, publicize events (hanging posters, stuffing mail folders), run errands, answer questions regarding types of services offered for new students. MAINTAIN CONFIDENTIALITY! Students who work in the Center are required to maintain CONFIDENTIALITY REGARDING ANY VERBAL OR WRITTEN PATIENT CARE DATA THAT THEY MAY BE EXPOSED TO. All students who work in the Center will be required to sign a CONFIDENTIALITY STATEMENT. Any breach of confidentiality is grounds for dismissal.

Assist Project Managers in the planning, design, construction, and paperwork for Campus-Let Capital Projects.  Ideal candidate will be enrolled in an Engineering program and will have fluent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access).  Knowledge of AutoCAD software and computer skills are strongly-desired.  The candidate will also have excellent communication, organization, and problem solving skills.

Work with individuals or small groups of students to assist them with course concepts, reading, writing, study skills or computer applications. Assist students to find the resources necessary for academic success. Areas of assistance needed include: computer science, computer applications, economics, engineering technologies, mathematics (all levels), reading, writing, finance statistics, accounting and study skills. Applicants may be required to attend and complete a Tutor Training Session. Subject matter expertise (a grade of A in course), computer skills, excellent communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and a collaborative spirit.
