Civil Disturbance / Demonstration procedures

Should a disturbance occur, call the University Police at (111). If possible, use a private area when making the call. The procedures outlined below should also be considered.
- If a disturbance seems to threaten the occupants of the building, report it immediately to the University Police and take the following actions:
- Alert all persons in the area of the situation.
- Lock all doors and windows; secure all files, documents and equipment.
- Close blinds to prevent flying glass.
- If necessary, cease operations and evacuate.
- Follow directions from University Police.
- If evacuation occurs, meet at the Assembly Area identified in your Unit Emergency Plan. (see "Evacuation Procedures").
