Application to Graduate (Undergraduate and Graduate Students)
SUNYIT graduates students three times each year after each academic term: May, August and December.
In order to be considered for graduation, each student must apply for the term they intend to complete their degree requirements using the Graduation Application (pdf).
Petition to Attend May Commencement
Students from the previous August and December will be invited to the following May ceremony (Ex: August and December graduates are invited to attend the following May commencement ceremony and appear in the program booklet).
Students who intend to graduate in August, but who wish to attend the prior May commencement ceremony may do so as long as they are within eight credits of graduating. In order to participate, students must complete and return to the Registrar's Office the Petition to Attend the May Commencement Ceremony (pdf).
