Career Planning
FOCUS 2 is a cost-free online interactive career and education planning system for undergraduate and graduate students and alumni that combines self assessment, career exploration and decision making into one comprehensive program. There are five FOCUS 2 assessment inventories including work interests, values, personality type, skills and abilities, and leisure time interests. FOCUS 2 assists students in mapping out a career path and selecting an appropriate area of study to support career goals.

After logging in, complete the sections for Career Readiness, Self Assessment, and Explore the Possibilities. Review your Career Portfolio and review Recommended Tools and Websites.
To print reports, click on printable report next to each section that has been completed. Make an appointment to meet with a career counselor to review your assessment. If you need assistance email careerservices@sunyit.edu or contact Career Services at (315) 792-7165.
College Central Network
College Central Network, a free online database, allows students and alumni to search for part-time or full-time jobs and internships that employers have posted exclusively to our school. Students have the capability to manage their account, search for opportunities, research current jobs, as well as the capability to create a career portfolio.
College Central launched an easy-to-use, fully integrated online service called Resume Builder. Resume Builder gives step-by-step instructions and users simply choose the resume format, fill in the resume components, preview, and save. CCN also provides online writing tips and resume samples. To utilize Resume Builder, create an account (directions below) and select Build a Resume under Manage My Resume
Students
To create a STUDENT account, go to www.collegecentral.com/sunyit
Click on the students icon then click on Student Central
Log in using your 9-digit student ID "U" number as your access ID and use sunyit as your password
There are also numerous informational videos from the CCN Career Advice Video Library Some include Resume & Cover Letter, Dress for Success, Interviewing, Career Profiles, Celebrity Job Profiles. To preview all videos, go to www.collegecentral.com/sunyit and enter your access ID and password. Click on Career Advice Video Library in the top right corner.
